STSsmallOnce again, I’m joining in with Tynga at Tynga’s Reviews and Marlene of Reading Reality for Stacking Shelves, where you share the real and virtual books you have added to your shelves in the last week.

Despite my looking to read more physical books at the moment, this week, every book I got was an ebook (it figures!) – but they all looked so good, I just couldn’t resist…

Over the last fee weeks, I have been working really hard to catch up on my reviews of ARCs, which I have finally done.  I have nothing overdue (yay!).  Which meant I felt perfectly justified in requested more books from Netgalley this week…

So it had to happen – I fell off the NetGalley wagon!  Only for one book though and – in the way that my brain works – I have decided it doesn’t really count because it’s for a book that isn’t out till next April so there is plenty of time to read and review it (yes, I know, it sounds like an excuse but I think it’s a good one!).

So, after a few weeks where I requested a lot of books on Netgalley and now have to try and read them all (a few are already past due – argh!), I have stayed away from review copies and kept myself to picking up a couple of books from either the library or kindle unlimited (that way, if I don’t get round to reading them, no – well not much – guilt!).  Here’s what I picked up…

Last week, as a bit of an odd one where I kept starting books then finding it difficult to finish them.  I now have three books half-finished, which is so not like me, but no real desire to get to the fully-finished stage. I ended up in the library, my favourite place, looking for anything that might get me out of the reading rut.  I’m not sure if I’ve succeeded, but here’s what I picked up….

STSsmallOnce again, but for the first time in  month, I’m joining in with Tynga at Tynga’s Reviews and Marlene of Reading Reality for Stacking Shelves, where you share the real and virtual books you have added to your shelves in the last week.

Last week, I broke my self imposed Netgalley ban and fell off the wagon in quite spectacular style…mainly because I wished for a few books I wasn’t sure I would get and then there were a few read now’s that caught my eye…you get the picture (and I’m sure you’ve been there).  I also bought a few books too, adding to the virtual shelf – which would probably fall over if it wasn’t, well, virtual!  So, without much more rambling, here are the books I picked up this week…

Thankfully, this week was a lot calmer than last and I am back in my comfort zone of three to four books a week max. being added to the shelves.  As always there is a mix of bought, loaned and review copies.

This is the first time I’ve joined in a for a few weeks what with my holiday and then last week suddenly finding I had been approved for Netgalley books I hadn’t remembered requested (I was obviously having a click happy moment right before I went away).

I felt a bit overwhelmed as I’d also made a long overdue trip to the library to change out my books and I wasn’t quite sure where to start with reading.  Thankfully, I have now got everything organised by dates due back or for review and am feeling nice and in control again, though I am on a self-imposed Netgalley ban till I get the list down a bit.  So, without further rambling, here’s what I got, starting with the Netgalley books…

So the first few books I bought this week are probably of not much interest to anyone but me and my family – they are guide books for our holidays, which isn’t far away and I feel slightly unprepared for (I will be off trying to find enough warm weather clothes in a bit)…
