Cloak and Dagger reading challenge

cdchallengebadge2016

This year, I’m taking part in the Cloak and Dagger Challenge hosted by Stormi at books, movies, reviews oh my! and Barb at Booker Ts Farm.  It’s for those who like to read crime / mystery / suspense novels and I set myself the rather challenging goal of reading at least 56 books (which is Sherlock Holmes status).  Given my love of this genre, I am hoping it will be more than achievable but who knows.  Here’s how I’m doing so far (with my top ten in bold)…

  1. The Trapped Girl by Robert Dugoni
  2. A is for Alibi by Sue Grafton
  3. Don’t Look Behind You by Mel Sherratt
  4. Right Behind You by Lisa Gardner
  5. A Deadly Thaw by Sarah Ward
  6. The Breakdown by B. A. Paris
  7. Captive on the Fens by Joy Ellis
  8. All These Perfect Strangers by Aoife Clifford
  9. The Sign of Four by Arthur Conan Doyle
  10. Evil Games by Angela Marsons
  11. Perfect Remains by Helen Fields
  12. Quieter Than Killing by Sarah Hilary
  13. You by Caroline Kepnes
  14. Let The Dead Speak by Jane Casey
  15. The Dead Room by Chris Mooney
  16. The Legacy by Yrsa Sigurdardottir
  17. The Stranger by Saskia Sarginson
  18. The Escape by C. L. Taylor
  19. The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware
  20. The Murder Game by Julie Apple
  21. What Goes Around by Julie Corbin
  22. Driven by James Sallis
  23. Last Breath by Robert Bryndza
  24. He Said/She Said by Erin Kelly
  25. The Killer on the Wall by Emma Kavanagh
  26. The Red Hunter by Lisa Unger
  27. Her Every Fear by Peter Swanson
  28. Mercy Killing by Lisa Cutts
  29. Dead Calm by Inge Löhnig
  30. The Dinosaur Feather by Sissel-Jo Gazan
  31. The People at Number Nine by Felicity Everett
  32. My Sister by Michelle Adams
  33. Cold Kill by P. J. Tracy
  34. Guiltless by Viveca Sten
  35. Black Hornet by James Sallis
  36. Buried Secrets by Lisa Cutts
  37. Every Last Lie by Mary Kubica
  38. Forgotten by Nicole Trope
  39. Sometimes I lie by Alice Feeney
  40. The Silent Kookaburra by Liza Perrat
  41. Two Nights by Kathy Reichs
  42. Buried on the Fens by Joy Ellis

There’s also a “bonus” challenge of finishing a series (or more) so I’m trying to finish the M. J. Arlidge DI Helen Grace series and the Nikki Galena series by Joy Ellis as I’m hallway through that.  Here’s where I am with these series (started before the challenge)…

M. J. Arlidge

Eeny Meeny – Book 1

Pop Goes The Weasel – Book 2

The Doll’s House – Book 3

Liar Liar – Book 4

Joy Ellis

Killer on the Fens – Book 3

Stalker on the Fens – Book 4

Captive on the Fens – Book 5

Buried on the Fens – Book 6

And that’s it for this challenge – wish me luck!

Emma
