About

Hi and welcome to One Readers Thoughts, a blog about the books I read.  I’ve had the blog for a while but haven’t been posting much as I fell out of love with books for a while. Thankfully, a batch of books as a Christmas present, made me realise that I do like reading after all and so, slowly but surely this year, I’ve started reading more and posting reviews again. Whether I’ll get beyond reviews is another question, but I might try if the reviews go well.  In the meantime, thanks for visiting, and here’s to getting to know each other better!

  1. Good luck! I look forward to reading your reviews. I’m always looking for new things to read. 🙂

    1. Thanks Kat 🙂

  2. Emma,

I have nominated you for One Lovely Blog Award. I enjoy reading your blog. You don’t have to do anything, if that’s what you prefer. If you have time and would like to nominate some fellow bloggers, you can find out the rules in the following link- http://katcarpita.wordpress.com/2014/09/06/touched-by-one-lovely-blog-award/

  4. Hi! I just nominated you for the Liebster Award (which I see you’ve already been nominated for, oops)! Please don’t feel obliged to do it haha. It’s kind of fun. My questions are a little weird. ANYWAY, here’s the link!

  6. Hi Emma,
I’ve nominated you for The Sunshine Blogger Award – you don’t have to respond but the questions are allll about books so it might be one you’d enjoy:). Here’s the link – https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2016/11/17/the-sunshine-blogger-award/

    1. Thank you! I’ll head over and check it out. 😀

  7. Nice to meet you – and thanks for following Book Club Mom! I’ll be watching for your posts in my Reader!

    1. You too. Looking forward to reading some good posts.

  8. so, you just moved to self-hosting, and apparently you had problems for a while. I have been wanting to do it for several years, but still hesitating to jump.
An idea of post for you: would you mind describing your experience, and explain why you did it, how, what are the pros and cons you encountered. I’m curious and would love to hear about the concrete experience of another book blogger

    1. It probably is a good idea. My main problem was that it all seemed so simple when I read the FAQs and “how to’s” on WordPress and also on the site host but in practice I don’t think I’m technical enough. Saying that the site host and WordPress were brilliant with helping me. It just took longer than I thought. I still have so much to do to understand if there are benefits, other than the cost (I was a premium wordpress member and hosting myself is about 50% of the cost!).

Let me know what you're thinking...
