My Week In Reviews: 5th December 2021

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone’s had a good week. Mine was busy thanks to three work deadlines that can’t be shifted and people not doing what they’ve promised (meaning more work for me!).

When I’m this busy, it’s basically impossible to find a work/life balance and – unfortunately – life generally suffers. That’s definitely the case for the blog as I only managed to post one review (A Familiar Sight by Brianna Labuskes). It was one of those books that I delivered so much more than I expected and I am definitely going to check out the second in the series (What Can’t Be Seen) when it comes out next May.

I also signed up for Book’d Out’s 2022 Non-Fiction Reader Challenge. I already read quite a bit of non-fiction but I don’t tend to read outside my comfort zone so I thought this would help with that. Not sure what I’ll read first, though More Than A Woman by Caitlin Moran has been on my ‘to read’ list for a while so I may start there.

Other than that, there isn’t much to report blog wise or life wise. I’m hoping for a quieter work week next week and to start doing some real Christmas prep – I’ve promised my daughter our trees would go up and that we’d try to make a new wreath out of baubles (I really shouldn’t let her go on Pintrest!). How about you, what does the week have in store for you?
