Bye-bye January, hello February and – hopefully – warmer weather and longer days. I long to see the sun after five in the evening! For the first time in a while, I feel like saying a month didn’t fly by. It was nice. With school starting late after the holidays and a bit of a leisurely start to the month as a result, it hasn’t felt rushed for once. Reading wise, it was pretty good too, with some great books (clicking on the links will take you to the reviews)…
And that’s it for me for January. How was your month, reading and otherwise? What books should I be adding to my TBR?
Emma x
This month, I’m linking with Kathryn at Book Date and Nicole at Feed Your Fiction Addiction with their monthly round-up posts (clicking on the images will take you to the posts to check out what others have been reading).
You had a really good month and love/liked most of your reads that is good! 🙂 Hope February is the same!

I loved I See You and I’m wishing for the author’s next book, Let Me Lie. Every time I see one of M. J. Arlidge’s books, I am reminded that I need to read Eeny Meeney, so I can continue the series. (I bought my copy a year ago).
Great month! Enjoy your February reading.

That’s the second time I’ve heard a negative report about the Mark Billingham book. Glad you had such a strong start to the year and the book that I’m most interested in is Dark Matter and The Death House:). A great reading month and I hope that 2018 continues in the same vein for you, Emma:)

Perfect Death looks great, and I still need to read I see You (heard it was great). Dark Matter I liked and thought the Lying Game was good too.

It really is. I wish I’d like The Lying Game more. I think my expectations were too high ☹️

For me January felt too long haha. I guess that is because people aren’t so much in a rush anymore after the holidays. So I can imagine that being nice too.

Not rushing is good though I think. At least I’m not eating chocolate every day now though!

I quite like that it didn’t – it just all means I’m closer to another year older.

I was the opposite, I thought January dragged on forever lol. But I’m glad you had a good month and it looks like you had a really good reading month as well. I really loved how you set up your wrap up!

It was a good month, though slumping a bit in February but swings and roundabouts. This weather makes me glad we went with a cat x

I am glad you had a good January overall. I really want to read Hide and Seek. I am glad you liked it so much! The Hoarder and Dark Matter are both ones I would like to read. I think you’re the reason I want to read The Hoarder. 🙂 I haven’t read Sleepyhead yet, but I want to. I’ve never seen the television show (didn’t even know there was one). I’ve enjoyed a couple other books by Billingham and really enjoyed them. I’m sorry you didn’t care for Sleepyhead. I hope you have a great February in books, Emma!

Yes, it was good. I hope you enjoy The Hoarder. I wonder if I would have liked Sleepyhead more if I hadn’t seen the show. It’s why I rarely read what I’ve seen or watch what I read.

We had a very cold January and first half of February here too. I so long for more sunshine and longer days. Tomorrow is forecast to be in the 60’s so we now have flooding watches and warnings. But maybe I can open the windows for fresh air. Great month of reading for you!
