So I’m back from my holidays and – as with all good holidays – it went too fast. At the same time, I feel like I was away long enough to completely relax. I feel renewed and refreshed. I also took a holiday from the Internet. I didn’t visit a blog, write a post or even read the news…it felt strange to be disconnected but also pretty good to not be distracted by my phone or iPad. I got to do a fair bit of reading as well which I hope to write reviews of this week…

It was nice to be back in my own bed. Still would be nice to have the sunshine though. I have read one other Lupton but heard mixed reviews of the quality of silence. I enjoyed it though, despite a slightly unrealistic ending.

Sounds like you had a nice holiday… and yes they always go by too fast. I like the sound of In A Dark Dark Wood- looks like a nice tense read. 🙂 First time I’ve seen that one, I’m adding that to my watchlist. I’m kinda liking thrillers more these days…

Thrillers are one of my “comfort zone” genres. In a dark dark wood is definitely worth reading. I haven’t read a bad review yet.

It was lovely. I think because I spend so much time on a computer and online for work it felt nice to not log into anything (plus it would have cost a fortune as we were abroad…definitely helped!)
